Jumeirah Beach Residence is a beachfront community of residential towers grouped into six sectors named Shams, Amwaj, Rimal, Bahar, Sadaf and Murjan, with hotels mixed in among them. The Walk, its seafront promenade of restaurants and shops, and The Beach, a retail and dining complex on the sand, draw visitors in the evenings. For a pickup that means busy entrances and many buildings that look alike, so a sector or hotel name does a lot of work.

Arriving at DXB

Landing at DXB with a stay in JBR, send the terminal (Terminals 1, 2 and 3 are all served; Emirates uses Terminal 3), your flight number, the landing date and time in UAE time, the passenger and bag count, and the hotel or tower with its sector. The driver waits in the arrivals area holding a name board with your name, and the team keeps an eye on the flight's status so the pickup follows the real landing time. Free waiting time of 30 minutes is included. Cases, strollers and beach gear all count when we choose the vehicle, so list them. You receive a quote first, and the team confirms the plan afterwards.

Leaving for your flight

For the ride from JBR to the airport, give the hotel or tower, its sector, and the time you would like to be collected, in UAE time. Set that time from your flight and your airline's own check-in advice; we plan around the time you give. After a late evening on The Walk it is easy to leave packing for the morning, so settle your lobby meeting time the night before and tell the front desk. Guests planning a return trip can ask for the airport run in the same message as the arrival.

Flying from Al Maktoum International (DWC)

Al Maktoum International (DWC) is in Dubai South, on the Jebel Ali side of Dubai. Holiday itineraries that bring guests to JBR do not always use DXB, so look at the airport code on your flight ticket: DXB or DWC. If it reads DWC, send the same details you would for DXB and ask for a DWC quote. Guests who arrive at one airport and leave from the other can put both trips in a single request.

Pickup and drop-off tips for JBR

Quote the sector first, then the tower

JBR has dozens of towers spread over six sectors: Shams, Amwaj, Rimal, Bahar, Sadaf and Murjan. Two towers in different sectors can share a similar look from the road. Give the sector name, the tower name or number and the entrance you will use. If you only know a street address from a rental listing, send the listing's building name as well.

Hotel guests should name the hotel and the lobby

Several hotels sit along the beachfront, among them Hilton Dubai The Walk, Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach, Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort, Rixos Premium Dubai JBR and Rove JBR. State the hotel name and ask the front desk to bring your bags to the main entrance at the time you set. Guests in serviced apartments inside a residential sector should give the sector and tower instead.

Keep the meeting point off the promenade

The Walk is open round the clock and is full of diners and strollers, so a driver cannot easily pick out one guest with suitcases. Choose a tower lobby, a hotel door or a clearly named shopfront near an entrance and tell us which. A WhatsApp location pin dropped at that exact door helps more than the words beachfront or near the restaurants.

Use the car parks as landmarks

The JBR website lists The Beach Parking, beneath Roxy Cinemas, and Murjan Parking, whose entrance is just before the McDonald's in Murjan. If you are coming out of the cinema, the mini golf or a late dinner, name the car park or the venue and the level, and your driver can meet you at a spot with a clear address.

Two tram stops, six sectors

The Dubai Tram has two JBR stops, JBR 1 and JBR 2, and the JBR website points visitors to either for direct access to The Walk. It also names DMCC and Sobha Realty as the Red Line metro stations within walking distance. Guides do not agree on which sectors each tram stop serves best, so do not use a stop as your meeting point. A friend who says meet me at JBR 2 may be outside a different tower from yours. Name your sector and building to the driver, and treat the stops as landmarks only.

Which vehicle suits a JBR transfer?

A sedan takes up to 3 passengers with 2 large bags, which suits couples and solo travellers on a short beach break. Families of four or five with strollers and beach bags need the SUV, which seats up to 5 with 4 large bags. Six or more people, such as two families sharing a holiday flat, should ask for a van with 6 to 14 seats. For guests arriving at a beachfront hotel for a special occasion, the luxury executive car takes up to 3. Example models appear on the fleet cards, and the final vehicle is confirmed with the quote.

I am staying in a JBR hotel, not a residential tower. What should I send?

Send the hotel name, your flight details and the time in UAE time. For a departure, add the lobby or entrance where your bags will be brought. That is enough for the driver to know exactly where to wait.

Can the driver wait for me on The Walk or at The Beach?

The promenade is busy, so pick a nearby building entrance or one of the named car parks and tell us which. The JBR website lists The Beach Parking beneath Roxy Cinemas and Murjan Parking. A location pin at your chosen door makes the handover simple.

Can you collect me from Bluewaters Island after a day in JBR?

Bluewaters Island faces JBR and a pedestrian bridge links the two, but they are separate places for a pickup. Tell us which side you will stand on, JBR or the island, and give the building or entrance. We cover Bluewaters on its own area page as well.

There are six of us. Do we need more than one car?

An SUV seats up to 5, so six people travelling with luggage need a van, which seats 6 to 14. Tell us the number of passengers and large bags and we will quote the vehicle that fits.
