Barsha and Emirates Living

Al Barsha Airport Transfers

We arrange private airport transfers between Al Barsha and Dubai International (DXB) or Al Maktoum International (DWC). Send your flight number, landing time and the exact hotel, tower or villa, and the team replies with a quote on WhatsApp or by phone. The service runs 24/7 and follows your flight, so an arrival pickup is planned around when the aircraft actually lands.

Al Barsha is two quite different places under one name. Al Barsha 1 is the commercial end beside Sheikh Zayed Road, with Mall of the Emirates, hotels and apartment blocks. Al Barsha 2 and 3 are mainly villa streets set back from the road. A mall exit, a hotel lobby and a villa gate all work differently for a driver, so tell us which Barsha you are in and which of those you will be standing at.

Al Barsha to and from the airport

Arriving at DXB

Landing at DXB and heading for Al Barsha? Send the terminal, flight number, landing date and time in UAE time, and the exact place you are going: hotel and entrance, tower and apartment, or villa number and street. The driver meets you in the arrivals area holding a name board, and we follow your flight status, so a delay or an early landing moves the pickup with it. Free waiting time of 30 minutes is included. The way into Al Barsha runs along main roads such as Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road, and the driver chooses the route to suit traffic on the day.

Dubai International (DXB) guide

Leaving for your flight

For a flight out of DXB, tell us the flight time and terminal, the pickup time you want in UAE time, and where we collect you: a hotel lobby, a tower entrance or a villa gate. Airlines publish their own check-in advice, so choose the pickup time that fits yours and the team will confirm it with your quote. Say how many passengers and bags there are, because that decides the vehicle. If you also need the arrival leg, ask for both together so your details are on file for both days.

DWC

Flying from Al Maktoum International (DWC)

Al Maktoum International (DWC) is in Dubai South, in the Jebel Ali part of the emirate. Most travellers staying in Al Barsha fly through DXB, but check the airport printed on your ticket, because some airlines operate from DWC instead. If yours does, say so in your request with the terminal and flight details, and the team quotes the DWC trip separately. A late-night DWC arrival is planned like any other: flight tracking, a name board at arrivals and 30 minutes of free waiting time.

Local know-how

Pickup and drop-off tips for Al Barsha

Name the mall exit, not just the mall

Mall of the Emirates is large. Its own visitor page says taxis are available at specific exits, with Gate A next to the taxi pickup area. Tell us which entrance you will be near, or share a WhatsApp location pin from where you are standing. More than 7,000 covered parking spaces on four levels connect straight into the mall, so a pin is faster than describing a floor or a shop.

Hotels linked to the mall

Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates describes itself as connected to the mall, and its Aspen Chalets overlook Ski Dubai. If you are staying there, give the hotel name instead of 'Mall of the Emirates', which could send a driver to a mall exit rather than the hotel entrance. The same goes for any hotel around the mall: name the hotel first, then the entrance you were told to use.

Towers and hotels on Sheikh Zayed Road

Novotel Dubai Al Barsha lists its address as opposite InsuranceMarket Metro Station, on Sheikh Zayed Road in Barsha 1. That station was formerly called Sharaf DG, and older maps and apps may still show the old name. Give the hotel or tower name first and use a metro station only as a second landmark, because station names have changed over the years.

Villas in Barsha 2 and 3

In the villa streets the area name does not identify a house. Send the villa number, the street or lane name and the community or compound name if there is one, with a pinned location. If the house is behind a gate or guard post, tell us who the driver should call. A Makani number also helps: it is the 10-digit entrance code shown on a plate at a villa's entrance.

Good to know

Barsha, Barsha South and Barsha Heights are different pickups

The Barsha name is stretched across several sections. Wikipedia's list covers Al Barsha 1, 2 and 3, Al Barsha South and Barsha Heights, the district that was called Tecom until it was renamed in 2016. Hotel and apartment listings often write 'Al Barsha' for any of them. Barsha Heights and Al Barsha South have their own pages here, so check the street and tower name on your hotel or landlord's paperwork, not only the area label, and send us the full address. That keeps a driver from heading to the wrong Barsha.

Vehicles

Which vehicle suits a Al Barsha transfer?

Al Barsha's mix of hotel guests, apartment residents and villa families uses most of the fleet. A sedan (Toyota Camry or Nissan Altima class, or similar) takes up to 3 passengers with 2 large bags, which suits a couple or a business traveller staying near the mall. An SUV (Toyota Prado or GMC Yukon class) takes up to 5 passengers with 4 large bags and is the usual pick for a villa family. A Mercedes-Benz S-Class class executive car suits hotel arrivals, and a Toyota Hiace class van seats 6 to 14. The final vehicle is confirmed with your quote.

Questions

Al Barsha transfer questions

Something else? Ask us on WhatsApp and include your flight or pickup time.

Which entrance should I give at Mall of the Emirates?

Name the exit or gate you will be standing at, for example the one beside the taxi pickup area, or the hotel entrance if you are staying at the connected hotel. The mall's own visitor page lists specific taxi exits and places the taxi pickup area next to Gate A. A WhatsApp location pin sent once you have landed removes any doubt.

Is Barsha Heights the same as Al Barsha?

They are neighbouring areas with separate addresses. Barsha Heights is the former Tecom district with its own towers and hotels, and Al Barsha South is another section again. If your booking only says 'Barsha', send the hotel or tower name and the team will place it.

Can I name a metro station as my pickup point?

Yes, as a second landmark. Mall of the Emirates station connects to the mall by an enclosed overhead walkway, and Novotel Dubai Al Barsha sits opposite the InsuranceMarket station. Station names have changed before, so always add the hotel, tower or villa details.

Can you collect me from Ski Dubai?

Ski Dubai is inside Mall of the Emirates, so the pickup is at a mall exit. Choose the exit before you go in, because the mall is large, and send a pin when your session ends.
