Dubai Internet City Airport Transfers

Private airport transfers between Dubai Internet City and Dubai International (DXB) or Al Maktoum International (DWC) are quoted on request. Send your building or hotel, the airport and terminal, your flight number and the date and time in UAE time, and the team replies on WhatsApp or by phone. A car, SUV, executive car, van or coach can be arranged, and the service works around the clock.

Dubai Internet City was unveiled in October 1999 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and is run today by TECOM Group. It is a business district for technology companies, with offices for global brands, an innovation hub, an amphitheatre, hotels and a Dubai Metro station of its own on Sheikh Zayed Road. A visit usually centres on one company, so the pickup is built around that company's building and the name reception holds for you.

Dubai Internet City to and from the airport

Arriving at DXB

From DXB to Internet City, include the terminal (Terminals 1, 2 or 3; Emirates uses Terminal 3), your flight number, the landing date and time in UAE time, how many people and bags, and the building or hotel. The driver meets you in arrivals with a name board, and the team monitors the flight's status so the pickup follows the real landing. The service includes 30 minutes of free waiting time. Going straight to a meeting? Give its start time and the host's name. We send a quote first, and the team then confirms the arrangements with you.

Dubai International (DXB) guide

Leaving for your flight

For the ride from Internet City to the airport, state the building or hotel, the entrance, and the time you want the car, in UAE time. Calculate it from your flight time and your airline's check-in advice, as we plan around the time you ask for. If you will leave straight from a meeting, give the time you must be in the lobby, not the time the meeting is meant to end. Day visitors can have the airport drop quoted together with the arrival. Add the number of people and large bags so the quote names a suitable vehicle.

DWC

Flying from Al Maktoum International (DWC)

Al Maktoum International (DWC) lies in Dubai South. Look for the three-letter code on your itinerary: some airlines operate from DWC instead of DXB. If yours does, say so in your first message and we will quote the DWC run for your Internet City building. Companies sending several visitors to one office can list every flight, with the airport code, in a single request.

Pickup and drop-off tips for Dubai Internet City

Get three details from your host

Before you write to us, ask the company you are visiting for the building name, the entrance to use and the name reception has on the visitor list. Send all three. Campus-style offices can look alike from the road, and a company name alone does not identify a door. If your meeting is in a co-working space such as D/Quarters, add the operator's name and the floor.

The metro station is a landmark, not a meeting point

Dubai Internet City Metro Station stands on Sheikh Zayed Road, and colleagues who arrive by train often suggest meeting near it. A car needs a building or hotel entrance where it can stop. Tell us the exact building, then mention the station only as context. If you will walk from the station to the office, say so and give the time you expect to arrive.

Hotels in the district

Holiday Inn Express Dubai, Internet City and Staybridge Suites Dubai Internet City are listed among the hotels in the area. For a pickup, give the hotel name and ask reception to bring bags to the entrance at the time you choose. If you plan to pay a short visit to an office first, tell us the order of stops, hotel then office or office then hotel.

Conference and workshop days

The district lists a DIC Amphitheatre, and an Innovation Hub houses tenant businesses. If you are attending an event at the amphitheatre or visiting a business in the hub, name the venue or hall and the entrance you will leave from. Ask for a pickup at a set time in UAE time, not at the end of the programme, because sessions can run over.

Good to know

Internet City, Media City and Knowledge Park are separate districts

People often say Internet City for the whole cluster, but Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City and Dubai Knowledge Park are separate TECOM business districts that sit next to each other. A host who says Internet City might mean a neighbouring district, and the entrances are not interchangeable. Ask which district the building is in and send us its name. If the address belongs to Media City, our Dubai Media City page may suit you better, and the same details work for either.

Vehicles

Which vehicle suits a Dubai Internet City transfer?

A sedan, with up to 3 passengers and 2 large bags, suits one visitor on a day trip. The luxury executive car takes up to 3 and suits a senior guest or a speaker. An SUV fits a small team with luggage, up to 5 passengers and 4 large bags. A visiting group of six or more, such as a project team, should ask about a van with 6 to 14 seats. Conference parties of 15 or more can ask for a mini bus or coach. The fleet cards show example models, and your quote names the final vehicle.

Questions

Dubai Internet City transfer questions

Something else? Ask us on WhatsApp and include your flight or pickup time.

The company I am visiting only says Internet City. What should I ask them?

Ask for the building name, the entrance and the name reception has for you. Also ask whether the building is in Internet City or a neighbouring district. Send us those details with your flight.

I am only in Dubai for a one-day meeting. Can the airport pickup and the drop be quoted together?

Yes. Send both flights with their dates and times in UAE time, plus the building. We follow flight status on arrival, and you tell us the time you want to leave the building for the way back.

Our delegation is about 20 people visiting a conference. What should we send?

Send the headcount, the venue or building, the flight numbers and the number of large bags. Groups of 15 or more can ask about a mini bus or coach, and smaller groups of 6 to 14 fit a van.

Is Dubai Internet City Metro Station a good pickup point for a visitor with luggage?

A building or hotel entrance works better for a car than a station on Sheikh Zayed Road. Give us the exact building and mention the station only as a landmark in your message.
