Dubai South, not DXB
Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) Transfers
Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), also called Dubai World Central, is Dubai's second airport. We arrange private transfers between DWC and hotels, towers and villas across Dubai and the northern emirates, by car, SUV, executive car, van or coach. Send your flight number and destination and the team replies with a quote on WhatsApp or by phone, 24/7.
The first thing to settle is whether your flight really lands here. Dubai International (DXB) and DWC are both run by Dubai Airports and can both be described as Dubai on a booking, but they are different airports in different parts of the emirate. Sending a driver to the wrong one costs real time, so this page shows how to check.

How is DWC different from DXB?
Dubai Airports runs both airports. DXB, Dubai International, is the one with Terminals 1, 2 and 3. DWC is Dubai World Central - Al Maktoum International, in Dubai South towards Jebel Ali. The two are far enough apart that moving between them is a road journey of its own.
Dubai Airports' transfer information makes the same point. Travellers moving between DXB and DWC clear passport control, collect their baggage and arrange onward transport, either a taxi or the Dubai Metro to Ibn Battuta station and a dedicated bus. It is not an airside connection like changing terminals at one airport.
To check your own flight, read the three-letter code beside the airport name on the booking or boarding pass. DWC means Al Maktoum, DXB means Dubai International. Do not infer the airport from the airline's name. If the booking only says Dubai, send us the flight number and we check which airport it uses before we quote.
What do you need to send for a DWC arrival?
Send the flight number, the date the aircraft lands in UAE time, the number of passengers and large bags, and the full destination address. The Terminal 1, 2 and 3 split belongs to DXB. For DWC the flight number is what we work from, and the team confirms the arrival arrangement with you before you land.
Our driver meets arriving guests in the arrivals area with a name board. We follow your flight's status, so the pickup moves with the real landing time, and 30 minutes of free waiting time is included. If your group is split across two flights, send both flight numbers in one request.
What if your flight lands late at night?
Late arrivals are where DWC planning matters most. The airport's pages describe getting towards DWC by Dubai Metro to Ibn Battuta station, then a bus or taxi. The Metro runs to set hours that end around midnight on most days, a little later on Fridays, and those hours can change on public holidays. Check the current timetable before relying on it.
For an arrival after midnight, the useful questions are who meets you and where the car is going. Enter the date the aircraft lands, in UAE time, and send the flight number so our tracking stays tied to the real arrival. Tell your hotel to expect a very late check-in, and keep a phone number the driver can reach.
How do you plan a pickup for a flight from DWC?
Check your airline's own check-in advice first. Then tell us the flight time, the pickup time you want and the exact pickup point, in UAE time. From most central districts DWC means a trip across the emirate, so leave room for traffic on busy days rather than working to the last minute.
Add the number of passengers and large bags, and mention anything oversized. If you are returning to DWC at the end of a stay, ask for the return leg on the same request so the team plans both ends together.
Where do DWC passengers usually go?
Some trips end close by, in Dubai South, Expo City Dubai or Jebel Ali. Others head for the Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah waterfront, Downtown or the family communities across the city. Open the area page that matches your address for pickup tips, and use the airport-to-airport route if you are moving between DWC and DXB.
Dubai's government announced in April 2024 that a new passenger terminal would be built at Al Maktoum and that Dubai International's operations would move there in the coming years, without a date. Until your own flight moves, the code on your ticket is the one to trust.
Which vehicle suits a DWC pickup?
Count people and large bags, then match the vehicle. Up to 3 passengers with 2 large bags fit a sedan (Toyota Camry or Nissan Altima class). Up to 5 passengers with 4 large bags need an SUV (Toyota Prado or GMC Yukon class). A van (Toyota Hiace class) seats 6 to 14, and a mini bus or coach covers 15 or more. The luxury executive car (Mercedes-Benz S-Class class) takes up to 3 passengers.
Models are "or similar" and the final vehicle is confirmed with your quote. Tour groups and families often arrive together, so tell us everyone's flight and the number of bags, not just the lead passenger's.

Questions
Frequently asked
My ticket says Dubai but shows no airport code. How do I know if it is DWC?
Look at the three-letter code on the e-ticket or boarding pass, or search the flight number on the airline's site. DWC is Al Maktoum and DXB is Dubai International. If you are still unsure, send us the flight number and we check it before quoting.
Can you take me between DXB and DWC for a connecting flight?
We can arrange the road transfer between the two airports. Whether a connection works depends on your airline's arrangements, baggage handling and the time you have, which only the airline can confirm. We cannot promise a connection.
Is there a direct train to DWC?
The airport's pages describe connecting from Ibn Battuta Mall Metro Station by bus or taxi, not a direct train to the airport. Metro hours are limited, so check them before a late arrival or an early departure.
Will DXB flights move to DWC?
Dubai's government has announced that Dubai International's operations will move to Al Maktoum in the coming years, with no date given. Until your flight is moved, the airport on your ticket is the one that counts.
Do you meet passengers at DWC with a name board?
Yes, our driver meets arriving guests in the arrivals area with a name board. Before you land, the team confirms the exact meeting arrangement and the driver's contact details with you.
