Barsha Heights (TECOM) Airport Transfers

We arrange private airport transfers between Barsha Heights and Dubai International (DXB) or Al Maktoum International (DWC). Barsha Heights is the district many people still call Tecom, so a booking that says Tecom, TECOM Dubai or Barsha Heights points to the same place. Send your flight details and the name of your hotel or tower, and the team replies with a quote on WhatsApp or by phone. The service runs 24/7 and follows your flight.

Tecom Group renamed the Tecom neighbourhood Barsha Heights in 2016. It is now a dense grid of office towers, residential blocks and hotels in the area bounded by Sheikh Zayed Road, Hessa Street and First Al Khail Road, beside the Dubai Internet City and Dubai Media City business parks. Many visitors come for a meeting in one tower and sleep in another, so the useful detail for a pickup is the building name and entrance.

Barsha Heights to and from the airport

Arriving at DXB

Business arrivals into Barsha Heights work best when the request names the tower. Send the terminal, flight number, landing date and time in UAE time, and the tower or hotel name with the entrance you prefer. The driver meets you in the arrivals area holding a name board, flight tracking keeps the pickup in step with the real landing time, and free waiting time of 30 minutes is included. Barsha Heights lies beside Sheikh Zayed Road, and the driver picks the route on the day. If you are arriving for a meeting, add the meeting time to your request so the team has the full picture when it quotes.

Leaving for your flight

Leaving Barsha Heights for the airport is mostly a question of timing and the right entrance. Send your flight time and terminal, the pickup time you want in UAE time and the tower or hotel you are leaving from. Business trips often involve early flights, so settle the pickup time with the team on WhatsApp before the day, and have your luggage ready at the lobby or reception. Airlines publish their own check-in advice, and we plan the pickup around the time you ask for. If colleagues are leaving from different towers, list each address in the request.

DWC

Flying from Al Maktoum International (DWC)

Barsha Heights is a business district with many hotels for short stays, and most trips from it go through DXB. Al Maktoum International (DWC) is in Dubai South, in the Jebel Ali part of the emirate, and fewer airlines use it. If your ticket shows DWC, add the airport code to your request with the flight details. The team quotes the DWC trip separately and plans it like any other pickup, with flight tracking and a name board at arrivals. A company sending several people to DWC can put all the pickup points in one request.

Local know-how

Pickup and drop-off tips for Barsha Heights

Tower name first, then the entrance

Barsha Heights packs many mid- and high-rise buildings close together, so an area name tells a driver very little. Give the exact tower or hotel name, the street if you know it, and the entrance you want: main lobby, hotel drop-off or car park. A WhatsApp pin sent from the front door is the quickest fix if two buildings have similar names.

Hotels along Sheikh Zayed Road

Grand Millennium Dubai lists its address as Sheikh Zayed Road, Exit 36, Barsha Heights, and Mercure Dubai Barsha Heights Hotel Suites & Apartments is also on Sheikh Zayed Road. Quote the hotel name rather than an exit number or just 'Tecom'. Tell us whether you booked a hotel room or a serviced apartment, so the driver knows which reception to contact.

Office visits

Barsha Heights is a free zone and leasehold district governed by the TECOM authority, with many small and mid-sized firms working from its towers. For a business pickup, send the tower name, the company or reception you are visiting and a mobile number that will be answered. Colleagues leaving from different towers should each have their address listed in the request.

Use the metro as a second landmark

Dubai Internet City metro station on the Red Line is the stop that property guides link with Barsha Heights. That makes it a fair secondary landmark, but a station cannot identify a building, because it serves many neighbouring blocks. Add the tower or hotel name, and treat the station as a way of checking you are on the right side of the area.

Good to know

Tecom, Barsha Heights and Sufouh Gardens

In June 2016 Tecom Group renamed the Tecom neighbourhood Barsha Heights and gave a small area across Sheikh Zayed Road the name Sufouh Gardens, next to GEMS Wellington International School. Both labels still turn up in addresses. If a document says Tecom, it normally means Barsha Heights. If it says Sufouh Gardens, the pickup is on the other side of Sheikh Zayed Road, so please tell us which one it is and add the building name.

Vehicles

Which vehicle suits a Barsha Heights transfer?

Most Barsha Heights guests are business travellers, so a sedan (Toyota Camry or Nissan Altima class, or similar) or a Mercedes-Benz S-Class class executive car covers up to 3 passengers on most trips. A small team with luggage fits an SUV, which takes up to 5 passengers with 4 large bags. A Toyota Hiace class van seats 6 to 14 for colleagues travelling together, and a mini bus or coach (15+ passengers) handles larger delegations. The final vehicle is confirmed with your quote.

Questions

Barsha Heights transfer questions

Something else? Ask us on WhatsApp and include your flight or pickup time.

Is Tecom the same place as Barsha Heights?

Yes. Tecom Group renamed the Tecom neighbourhood Barsha Heights in 2016, and many people, apps and older documents still use the old name. Send either label together with the tower or hotel name.

Is Barsha Heights part of Dubai Internet City or Dubai Media City?

No. They are neighbouring TECOM business parks with their own addresses, and the property firm Cushman & Wakefield lists them as separate parks from Barsha Heights. Barsha Heights is the mixed residential and office district beside them, so tell us which one your hotel or office is in.

How do I know which side of Sheikh Zayed Road my address is on?

Check the district label in your booking. Barsha Heights sits between Sheikh Zayed Road, Hessa Street and First Al Khail Road, while Sufouh Gardens is the small area across the road. If you are unsure, send the building name and a map pin.

Can you move a group of colleagues from Barsha Heights to the airport?

Yes. Send the number of passengers, bags and each pickup address, and the team recommends a van or mini bus where one vehicle makes sense. Passengers leaving from several towers are listed in one request so the quote covers the plan.
