Expo City Dubai to and from the airport

Arriving at DXB

A DXB arrival bound for Expo City needs the terminal, flight number, landing date and time in UAE time, and the exact venue, hotel or office. DXB has Terminals 1, 2 and 3, and Emirates uses Terminal 3. The meet and greet is in the arrivals area, where the driver holds a name board, and the team follows the flight's status. 30 minutes of free waiting time is included. Expo City is on Expo Road (E77), which connects to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) and Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street (D54), so the trip from DXB crosses Dubai towards the south-west.

Leaving for your flight

For a flight out of Expo City, tell us the time you want to be collected in UAE time, the airport and the exact meeting point: a hotel door, an exhibition hall exit or an office lobby. Add how many people and bags are travelling. Airlines publish their own check-in advice, so we plan the pickup around the time you give. After an event, keep your phone on and tell the team if the finish time moves. For a return trip, send both legs in one request.

Flying from Al Maktoum International (DWC)

Al Maktoum International (DWC) is in Dubai South, the district beside Expo City. If your airline flies from DWC, write DWC in the request and the quote will match. Exhibition visitors may arrive at either airport depending on the airline, so check the airport code on your ticket and send it with the flight number. For a DWC arrival the driver meets you in the arrivals area with a name board, and 30 minutes of free waiting time is included.

Pickup and drop-off tips for Expo City Dubai

Name the exact venue, not just Expo City

Expo City holds exhibition halls, attractions, a hotel, offices and homes, and 'Expo City' alone does not say which one. Send the venue or building name, the floor or hall if relevant, and a location pin from your phone's map. For offices, add the company name and a contact who can answer if the driver needs directions.

Exhibition and conference days

The Dubai Exhibition Centre, the Connect Conference Centre and venues such as Terra host events. Send the event name, the hall or entrance you will use and the time you expect to finish. Many attendees leave when a session ends, so tell us if your departure may slip, and message the team on the day if the schedule changes.

Staying at Rove Expo City

The hotel gives its address as Al Wasl Square, Expo City, with a pool overlooking Al Wasl Dome. Give the full hotel name, your room number and your pickup time in UAE time. Ask reception where cars stop for departures and pass that to the team, so the driver and the doorman expect the same pickup.

Homes and offices in the new districts

Expo City is split into neighbourhoods called Expo Downtown, Expo Business, Expo Hills, Expo Valley and Expo Fields, with residential projects such as Expo Valley Views and Al Waha Residences. Give the neighbourhood, the project name, the building and your unit number, plus a pin shared from your phone's map, so the driver heads to the right building the first time.

Meeting at the Metro station

Expo 2020 Metro Station is next to the Dubai Exhibition Centre, with an RTA bus stop outside. It is a clear landmark when you are meeting a group that arrives by train. Tell us the station name and which side of the station you will wait on, and agree the spot in advance.

Attractions and opening times

Terra, Vision Dubai and Al Wasl Plaza are run by Expo City Dubai, and their tickets and opening times are set by Expo City rather than by us. Check Expo City Dubai's own channels for the day you plan to visit before choosing a pickup time, and tell us which exit you will use. If you are combining a visit with a flight, give the airport and the time you need to be collected, and the team plans the transfer around that.

An SUV (Toyota Prado or GMC Yukon class, up to 5 passengers with 4 large bags) fits families staying at the hotel or moving into one of the new homes. A luxury executive car (Mercedes-Benz S-Class class, up to 3 passengers) suits senior delegates, and a van (Toyota Hiace class, 6 to 14 seats) or a mini bus or coach (15 or more) covers delegations and exhibition teams.
