DXB to DWC: transfer between Dubai's two airports
This is a private road transfer between Dubai International (DXB) and Al Maktoum International (DWC), the two airports run by Dubai Airports. It works in both directions: DXB to DWC, or DWC to DXB. Send both flights, the terminal and the time you land or need to be at the second airport, and we reply with a quote on WhatsApp or by phone.
A transfer like this usually comes up when two flights are on separate tickets, or when an onward flight leaves from the other Dubai airport. We provide the car between the airports. Your airline decides how your connection, bags and check-in work, so please confirm those directly with the airline before you travel.

Why would I need a transfer between DXB and DWC?
Dubai has two airports, and your tickets may use both. A traveller might land at DXB and fly out of DWC, or the other way round. A private car moves you and your carry-on and checked bags between them without waiting for separate rides.
We do not arrange the flight connection. We provide the road transfer, planned around the times you give us. Check with your airline whether the connection is permitted on your tickets and what happens with your bags, because we cannot confirm those rules.
What should I check with my airline before booking the transfer?
Airlines publish their own advice, and it can differ between tickets. Ask them the questions in the list below, and send us the answers that affect the pickup time.
- Whether your bags are checked through, or whether you collect and re-check them
- Which terminal and check-in desk you use at the second airport
- Whether you need to clear any airport formalities at the first airport before leaving
- How early the airline asks you to be at the second airport
- What happens to your ticket if the first flight is delayed
What should I send to get an accurate quote?
Send both flight numbers, the arrival date and time of the first flight in UAE time, and the terminal at DXB (Terminal 1, 2 or 3; Emirates uses Terminal 3). Add the departure time of the second flight, the number of passengers and the number of large bags, and any oversized items.
If you plan to leave the terminal between flights, for a hotel or a meeting, say so. Extra stops are written into the quote, so mention them in the first message.
How do I find my driver at DXB or DWC?
Your driver meets you in the arrivals area holding a name board. We follow your flight's status, so the pickup is planned around the actual landing, and 30 minutes of free waiting time is included. Keep your phone on, because the driver or the team may message you with the meeting point.
For a DWC to DXB trip, the same arrangement applies at Al Maktoum International. If you will be collected somewhere other than the arrivals area, the team confirms the pickup point with you.
Which vehicle suits our luggage between flights?
A sedan takes up to 3 passengers with 2 large bags, and an SUV takes up to 5 passengers with 4 large bags. Families or teams with heavy luggage may need a van, which seats 6 to 14, and a mini bus or coach serves groups of 15 or more.
Tell us about sports kit, musical instruments or cases that do not fit a standard boot. The final vehicle is confirmed with the quote.
How do I tell whether my flight uses DXB or DWC?
Look at the three-letter airport code on your ticket or booking. DXB is Dubai International and DWC is Al Maktoum International. If the code is missing, check the confirmation from your airline or travel agent, or send us the booking details and we help you read it.

Questions
Frequently asked
Can you wait if my first flight is delayed?
We follow the flight's status, so the pickup is planned around the actual landing. 30 minutes of free waiting time is included. If a delay looks long, message the team on WhatsApp and we adjust the plan.
Does the transfer carry my bags between the flights?
The car carries the bags that travel with you. How your checked bags are handled between flights is a matter for your airline, so check that with them before you travel.
Is DWC the same as Dubai South?
DWC is Al Maktoum International Airport. Wikipedia describes it as the main part of the Dubai South development, and Dubai South presents itself as a free zone, logistics, aviation and lifestyle hub.
Can I stop at a hotel between the two airports?
Yes. Give the hotel name, the time you want to arrive and the time you need to leave. The stop is written into the quote, so mention it in your first message.
Can I book DWC to DXB instead?
Yes. The transfer works in both directions. Send the DWC arrival time, the DXB terminal for the next flight and the departure time in UAE time.
