The Gardens Airport Transfers

Looking for a private transfer between The Gardens and the airport? We cover Dubai International (DXB) and Al Maktoum International (DWC). Send the flight, the date and time in UAE time, and your street and house number or your block. The team answers with a quote on WhatsApp or by phone, with a sedan, SUV, executive car, van or coach to suit your party.

The Gardens is a Nakheel neighbourhood in the Jebel Ali area. Its first residents moved in during 2001, and it now has a few hundred houses and over a hundred low-rise apartment blocks. Ibn Battuta Mall sits next to it, and The Gardens has its own metro station on the Route 2020 line. It is not Discovery Gardens, the themed-cluster community beside it, and it is not Jebel Ali Village to the south. A pickup runs smoothly when the driver has the full community name, the street or block and a pin.

The Gardens to and from the airport

Arriving at DXB

Landing at DXB (Terminals 1, 2 and 3; Emirates uses Terminal 3)? Send the terminal, flight number, landing date and time in UAE time, and your street or block in The Gardens. The driver waits in the arrivals area with a name board, the team follows the flight's status so a late landing moves the pickup, and 30 minutes of free waiting time is included. Wikipedia describes Sheikh Zayed Road as bordering The Gardens on its north-western side, so that is the road side the driver approaches from, with the exact route chosen on the day.

Leaving for your flight

To leave The Gardens for a flight, give the pickup time you want in UAE time, then the street and house number or the block and flat. We plan around that time, because airlines publish their own check-in advice. Tell us whether the bags will be at the gate, the front door or the block entrance, and keep your phone on. Travelling with children or sports kit? Mention it so the right vehicle is quoted. For a trip home later, send both dates in one request so the details stay together.

DWC

Flying from Al Maktoum International (DWC)

The Gardens is in the Jebel Ali area, and Al Maktoum International (DWC) is in Dubai South, which Wikipedia places in Jebel Ali too. Nakheel's page for neighbouring Discovery Gardens lists DWC among its nearby destinations. That makes DWC a sensible option for residents whose airline uses it. Only some airlines fly from DWC, so check the code on your ticket and put DXB or DWC in the request. A flight out of one airport and back into the other can be quoted as two legs.

Pickup and drop-off tips for The Gardens

House or apartment block?

The Gardens mixes houses with low-rise apartment blocks, and each needs different details. For a house, send the street, the house number and a pin from your phone. For a block, send the block number, your flat number and the side with the entrance. If a gate or entry code applies to visitors, put it in your message so the driver is not held outside.

Naming The Gardens station correctly

The Gardens Metro Station is on the Route 2020 line, and an area guide lists taxi bays and bus lay-bys there. Those are for public services, so agree with the team where a private car should wait and which exit you will use. Say 'The Gardens station' in full, because Ibn Battuta and Discovery Gardens have stations of their own.

Ibn Battuta Mall is next door, not the address

Wikipedia puts Ibn Battuta Mall immediately north-west of The Gardens, and Ibn Battuta Metro Station is on the main Red Line, not the Route 2020 branch. If your host says 'near Ibn Battuta', still send the street or block. The mall can be an agreed meeting point, but the driver needs to know which entrance.

Visitor parking on the street

A property guide notes that apartments have dedicated parking while visitors use nearby streets. A collection car may therefore stop on a street rather than in a bay. Give us the street name, bring your luggage out to it, and tell us which entrance of the block is closest to where the car will stop.

Good to know

Three neighbours, three addresses

The Gardens, Discovery Gardens and Jebel Ali Village are neighbouring communities, and Wikipedia places the first two to the north of Jebel Ali Village. The Gardens and Discovery Gardens are both Nakheel developments with a Route 2020 station each, The Gardens first along the line. Because the names are so alike, a pin can land in the wrong one. State 'The Gardens' with the street or block, and if your host's message was unclear, ask which of the other two it is not. Discovery Gardens has its own page on this site.

Vehicles

Which vehicle suits a The Gardens transfer?

A family leaving a house in The Gardens will usually want the room of an SUV (Toyota Prado or GMC Yukon class, up to 5 passengers with 4 large bags), while a sedan (Toyota Camry or Nissan Altima class, up to 3 passengers with 2 large bags) fits one or two travellers. Business visitors can ask for a luxury executive car (Mercedes-Benz S-Class class, up to 3 passengers). A van (Toyota Hiace class, 6 to 14 seats) suits relatives travelling together, and a mini bus or coach takes 15 or more. Models are 'or similar', and the final vehicle is confirmed with the quote.

Questions

The Gardens transfer questions

Something else? Ask us on WhatsApp and include your flight or pickup time.

My booking says Gardens, Jebel Ali. Which community is that?

That can mean The Gardens or its neighbour Discovery Gardens. Ask your host for the street or block and a pin, and send them with your request so the team can confirm the community before the quote is finalised.

Can the driver collect me from Ibn Battuta Mall instead?

Yes, if you agree the spot first. Name the entrance you will wait at and share a pin from your phone.

Do you serve the houses as well as the apartment blocks?

Yes. A house needs the street and house number, and a block needs the block number and your flat. Add a pin either way.

I am in The Gardens and friends are in Discovery Gardens. Can one car collect us all?

That can go in one request with two stops. Give each address in full, including the community name, and the passengers and bags at each stop. The team quotes the whole trip.
