Dubai Academic City Airport Transfers

We arrange private airport transfers between Dubai International Academic City and Dubai International (DXB) or Al Maktoum International (DWC), for arrivals and departures. Send the university or residence name, the flight number and the date and time in UAE time, and the team replies on WhatsApp or by phone with a quote. The fleet runs from sedans and SUVs to vans and coaches, which helps when a whole intake lands together.

Dubai International Academic City, usually called Academic City or DIAC, is a TECOM Group district along the Dubai-Al Ain Road. It gathers many university campuses in one place, among them the University of Birmingham Dubai, BITS Pilani Dubai Campus and Amity University Dubai, along with student housing, retail and sports facilities. Several institutions share one district, so the campus name alone is not enough: a pickup needs the institution, the building or residence and a contact on the day.

Dubai Academic City to and from the airport

Arriving at DXB

Arriving at DXB for Academic City, tell us the terminal (Terminals 1, 2 and 3 are in use, with Emirates at Terminal 3), the flight number, the landing date and time in UAE time, the institution and the building or residence. If several students are flying to the same address, send every flight in one message. The driver meets you in arrivals with a name board, the team follows the flight so a delayed landing moves the pickup, and 30 minutes of free waiting time is included. Academic City lies along the Dubai-Al Ain Road, a useful name to check on a map.

Dubai International (DXB) guide

Leaving for your flight

For a flight out of Academic City, give us the pickup time in UAE time, the institution, the building or residence and the entrance where you will be waiting. If a last exam, a key handover or a checkout sets the time, tell us the sequence so the pickup follows it. Check your airline's own check-in advice and send the time you have settled on. Students leaving with a term's belongings should list the cases so the vehicle is right, and residents of one building can share a single request.

DWC

Flying from Al Maktoum International (DWC)

Al Maktoum International (DWC) is in Dubai South, on the opposite side of the city from Academic City, so check the code on your ticket before you write to us. If your flight uses DWC, put DWC in the request along with the flight number, the date and time in UAE time and the campus or residence. The team quotes DWC trips in both directions, and a large group flying together can be quoted for a van or coach.

Pickup and drop-off tips for Dubai Academic City

Institution, block and a named contact

Academic City holds many institutions in one district, so a campus or the district name alone will not tell the driver where to stop. Send the university or residence name, the building or block, and a phone number that will be answered on the day. For a first visit, add a map pin from the entrance you will use, so there is no doubt about which campus is meant.

Intake-week landings

At the start of term many students land within hours of each other. If several of you are travelling to the same campus or residence, list every flight number and the number of cases in one request, so the team can plan one vehicle or several. A van seats 6 to 14 and a coach covers 15 or more, which often suits a group from the same programme.

Late landings and residence check-in

Residence check-in hours are set by the residence, not by us, so check them before choosing a late landing. Send any instructions you have been given, such as a reception desk or a contact name, so the driver knows where to take you. We follow the flight's status and move the pickup if it is delayed, but access to the building stays with the residence.

Parents, visiting staff and guests

A parent settling in a first-year student, or a visiting lecturer, should give the host's name, the department or venue and the event date, since the district has auditoriums and conference facilities. Arriving guests are met in the arrivals area with a name board, so tell us the exact name to write on it and a number the guest can answer.

Vehicles

Which vehicle suits a Dubai Academic City transfer?

A single student with one or two cases suits a sedan (Toyota Camry or Nissan Altima class, up to 3 passengers with 2 large bags). Students with a term's luggage, or parents travelling with them, suit an SUV (Toyota Prado or GMC Yukon class, up to 5 passengers with 4 large bags). A group of students from the same flight, or staff from one department, fits a van (Toyota Hiace class, 6 to 14 seats), and a full programme or university group of 15 or more needs a mini bus or coach. Visiting academics can ask for the luxury executive car (Mercedes-Benz S-Class class, up to 3 passengers). Models are 'or similar', confirmed with your quote.

Questions

Dubai Academic City transfer questions

Something else? Ask us on WhatsApp and include your flight or pickup time.

Many universities are in Academic City. What do I give the driver?

Send the university or residence name, the building or block, a contact number and a pin from the entrance where you will wait. The institution's name matters because one district holds many campuses.

Is Academic City the same as Dubai Knowledge Park?

No. They are separate districts, and some universities list Dubai Knowledge Park as their address. Check the address on your offer letter, and tell us if you are unsure so the team can confirm it before the quote.

Can a parent travelling with a first-year student share the car?

Yes. List every traveller and every case in the request. An SUV carries up to 5 passengers with 4 large bags, and the team confirms the final vehicle in the quote.

A group of us finishes exams on the same day. Can you collect everyone together?

Yes. Send the time the last exam ends, your flight times in UAE time, the number of students and the cases. A van takes 6 to 14 passengers and a mini bus or coach covers 15 or more.
