Motor City to and from the airport

Arriving at DXB

From DXB (Terminals 1, 2 and 3; Emirates uses Terminal 3), send the terminal, flight number, landing date and time in UAE time, and your Motor City building, hotel or venue. The driver meets you in the arrivals area with a name board, the team follows the flight's status so a delayed landing moves the pickup, and 30 minutes of free waiting time is included. A property guide lists Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Hessa Street and Umm Suqeim Street among the roads around Motor City, and the driver chooses the route on the day.

Leaving for your flight

To fly out of Motor City, give the pickup time you want in UAE time and the exact point: building and flat in Uptown, house number in Green Community, or the hotel entrance. Airlines publish their own check-in advice, so we plan around your chosen time. One property guide says taxis are only sometimes available from Uptown Motor City and advises booking early, so a pre-arranged car removes that uncertainty. Flying from Al Maktoum International (DWC)

Al Maktoum International (DWC) is in Dubai South, in the Jebel Ali part of the emirate. Motor City residents whose airline flies from DWC can ask for it directly: write DWC in the request and the quote will match. If you are here for a racing weekend, check which airport your own flights use before you plan the pickup, since the airlines at DWC are not the same as those at DXB. A trip that arrives at one airport and leaves from the other is quoted as two legs.

Pickup and drop-off tips for Motor City

Autodrome, Kartdrome or Business Park?

The Autodrome's website lists several parts of the site: the circuit, an indoor and an outdoor Kartdrome, the Race & Drive Centre, a management office and the Motorsport Business Park. Tell us which one you need, such as the Kartdrome for a karting session, not just 'Autodrome'. For a race weekend, check the entrance and parking details with the organiser and send them with your request.

Uptown Motor City's narrow streets

Uptown Motor City is made of low-rise apartment blocks, and a property guide notes that parking can get congested on its narrower streets. A car waiting at your door may hold up others, so be downstairs when the driver arrives and name the corner or entrance where it can stop. Send the building name, the flat number and a pin.

Green Community villas and townhouses

Green Community Motor City has villas, townhouses and terraced apartments. Send the street, the house number and a pin from your phone. If your host has arranged a gate or access instruction for visitors, include it, so the driver is not stopped at the entrance while you are waiting inside.

First Avenue Mall and the hotel

A property guide places the Park Inn by Radisson Dubai Motor City in First Avenue Mall. Use the full hotel name and your room number rather than 'the mall hotel', and ask reception which entrance suits luggage. The mall can also be an agreed meeting point for apartment residents, as long as you name the entrance beforehand.

Race weekends, track days and driving events

Dubai Autodrome lists race weekends, track days, karting and corporate driving events on its website, and its motorsport page has included the 24H Dubai in January and the Asian Le Mans Series. If you are flying the same day as an event, tell us the event, the time you want to be collected and your flight time, and the team plans around the time you set. Groups on a corporate driving day can ask for a van or coach and should give the headcount.

Uptown Motor City is mostly apartments, so a sedan (Toyota Camry or Nissan Altima class, up to 3 passengers with 2 large bags) suits one or two people, and an SUV (Toyota Prado or GMC Yukon class, up to 5 passengers with 4 large bags) suits a family or racers with gear. A luxury executive car (Mercedes-Benz S-Class class, up to 3 passengers) fits hotel guests on business. A van (Toyota Hiace class, 6 to 14 seats) carries a team or a corporate group, and a mini bus or coach covers 15 or more. Models are 'or similar', and the final vehicle is confirmed with the quote.

Can you collect me from Dubai Autodrome after a race weekend?

Yes, as a pre-arranged pickup. Name the part of the site you will be at, such as the Kartdrome or the main entrance, and send a pin. The team plans around the pickup time you give.

What is the difference between Uptown Motor City and Green Community for a pickup?

Uptown is low-rise apartment blocks, so we need the building name and flat number. Green Community has villas and townhouses, so we need the street and house number. A pin helps in both.

Is there a metro or direct bus to the airport from Motor City?
