Bur Dubai and historic Creek

Al Mankhool Airport Transfers

For a private car between Al Mankhool and Dubai International (DXB) or Al Maktoum International (DWC), send a message or call with your hotel or building, flight number and the date and time in UAE time. The team replies with a tailored quote. Flight tracking keeps an arrival pickup in step with the real landing, and the driver meets you in the arrivals area with a name board.

Al Mankhool is a mainly residential part of Bur Dubai with a commercial and financial strip. Khalid bin Al Waleed Road, which some residents call Bank Street, carries banks and offices, and BurJuman stands on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street. Hotels and hotel apartments fill the surrounding blocks, close to the Sharaf DG and BurJuman metro stations. With so many buildings of similar size on the same streets, the entrance and the street name matter more than the district name.

Al Mankhool to and from the airport

Arriving at DXB

DXB lies across Dubai Creek, so the journey to Al Mankhool crosses the water. Send the terminal (DXB has Terminals 1, 2 and 3; Emirates uses Terminal 3), your flight number, the landing date and time in UAE time, and the hotel or building with its street and entrance. Flight status is followed, so a delayed landing moves the pickup. Your driver waits in arrivals with a name board, and 30 minutes of free waiting time is included. Hotels here stand close together, so the entrance side and a map pin save the driver a round of phone calls.

Dubai International (DXB) guide

Leaving for your flight

For a flight from DXB, give the flight time and the pickup time you want in UAE time, with the building, street and entrance. Your airline publishes its own advice on arriving at the airport, so read it first. If the entrance faces a side street, name that street, and add a UAE phone number. Guests in neighbouring hotels who want to travel together should send both hotel names, the number of passengers and the bags in one message, so the team can suggest a vehicle. The return arrival can be quoted with the outward trip.

DWC

Flying from Al Maktoum International (DWC)

Al Maktoum International (DWC) is in Dubai South. Al Mankhool is in the middle of Bur Dubai, so a trip to DWC crosses the whole city and is worth asking about early. Send the airline, flight number, date and time in UAE time, and your building. DXB and DWC are far apart, so check the code on your ticket. A tailored quote comes first, and the team then confirms the arrangements.

Pickup and drop-off tips for Al Mankhool

Hotel apartments with similar names

Many hotel apartments in this district share a name stem, and several stand on neighbouring streets. Send the full name exactly as written on your reservation, the street and a map pin. If your building sits between Khalid bin Al Waleed Road and Al Mankhool Road, say which road the entrance faces, because that decides where the car waits.

Offices on Bank Street

Khalid bin Al Waleed Road, called Bank Street by some, carries banks and offices. If you are collected from an office, send the building name, the floor, a contact name at reception and the road you want the car to wait on. A visitor who has finished a meeting and is coming down in the lift can then be found without a phone call.

BurJuman is a mall and a station

The BurJuman mall and the BurJuman metro station, where the Red and Green Lines meet, share a name. The mall has a North Wing and a South Wing. Tell us whether you mean the mall or the station, and give the wing, entrance or exit you will use, with a map pin. Saying only BurJuman leaves the driver choosing between several places.

Computer centres and boxes

Computer Plaza at Al Ain Centre, on Al Mankhool Road, is one of the places visitors shop for electronics. If you leave with boxes or a bag of equipment, tell us how many items and roughly how large they are, so the team can choose between a sedan, an SUV or a van and plan the pickup point accordingly.

Good to know

Two station names that changed

Two metro stations in and around Al Mankhool have new names. The Green Line's Sharaf DG station, beneath the junction of Khalid bin Waleed Road and Al Mankhool Road, was called Al Fahidi until 24 November 2020. BurJuman station, where the Red and Green Lines meet, was Khalid Bin Al Waleed station until December 2012. Some guidebooks still use the earlier names, so near Al Fahidi metro could mean different things to different people. Give us the current name, or better, the street and a map pin.

Vehicles

Which vehicle suits a Al Mankhool transfer?

Business travellers staying near Bank Street often choose the luxury executive car (Mercedes-Benz S-Class class, up to 3 passengers). A sedan (Toyota Camry or Nissan Altima class, up to 3 passengers with 2 large bags) suits solo guests and couples in hotel apartments. Families with shopping and suitcases do better in an SUV (Toyota Prado or GMC Yukon class, up to 5 passengers with 4 large bags). A van (Toyota Hiace class) takes 6 to 14 passengers, and groups of 15 or more need a mini bus or coach. Models are 'or similar' and confirmed with your quote.

Questions

Al Mankhool transfer questions

Something else? Ask us on WhatsApp and include your flight or pickup time.

Is BurJuman the mall or the metro station?

Both. The mall is on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street, and the metro station that shares its name is where the Red and Green Lines meet. Tell us which you mean, and which wing, entrance or exit.

What should I give for an office on Bank Street?

The building name, the floor, a contact name at reception and the road the car should wait on. Add a pin, because several office buildings on Khalid bin Al Waleed Road look alike from the street.

I am leaving the computer centres on Al Mankhool Road with several boxes. What vehicle do I need?

Tell us how many boxes and roughly how large they are. A sedan takes 2 large bags, an SUV takes 4, and a van suits bulkier loads, and the final vehicle is confirmed with your quote.

Is Al Mankhool the same as Bur Dubai?

Al Mankhool is a district inside Bur Dubai. It borders Umm Hurair to the north, Al Raffa to the west, Al Karama to the east and Al Jafiliya to the south, so name the district and the street.
