DXB to AUH: private transfer to Abu Dhabi's Zayed International Airport
This page is for travellers who need a private transfer between Dubai International (DXB) and Zayed International Airport (AUH), the airport for Abu Dhabi, in either direction. Send both flights, the terminal at DXB and the time you land or must be at the second airport in UAE time, and we reply with a quote on WhatsApp or by phone.
AUH is an airport, not a district of Abu Dhabi city. If you are going to a hotel, island or venue in the capital, you need our Dubai to Abu Dhabi transfer instead. If your ticket shows AUH, or you are moving between the two airports, this is the right page. We provide the car; your airline sets the rules for connections, bags and check-in.

When would I need a transfer between DXB and Zayed International?
Most requests come from itineraries that use both airports: landing at DXB and flying out of AUH, or the reverse. Others are a stopover in Dubai at the start or end of a trip that leaves from Abu Dhabi. Check the airport code on each ticket: DXB is Dubai International and AUH is Zayed International.
If you are travelling between the two airports on the same day, give us both flight numbers so the pickup can be planned around the actual arrival.
Do I want the airport or Abu Dhabi city?
Choose AUH if your ticket shows it and you need to be at the airport for a flight, or if you are collecting someone landing there. Choose a city address, such as a hotel on Yas Island, if you are going to a stay or a meeting. The Dubai to Abu Dhabi page covers addresses such as Yas, Saadiyat, Al Reem and ADNEC.
The two are easy to mix up, since people often say Abu Dhabi for both. Stating AUH or the city address clearly in your request keeps the quote accurate.
What should I ask my airline before I rely on a timing?
Airlines publish their own check-in and baggage advice, and tickets differ. The questions below tend to change the pickup time, so ask them before you send your request.
- Whether bags are checked through, or collected and re-checked
- Which terminal or check-in area applies at DXB and at AUH
- How early the airline wants you at the airport for the second flight
- Whether the airline treats the two tickets as one journey
- What to do if the first flight is delayed
What do I send for the quote?
Send both flight numbers, the first flight's landing date and time in UAE time, the terminal at DXB (Emirates uses Terminal 3) and the second flight's departure time. Add the passenger count, the number of large bags and any bulky items. If you want a stop on the way, give the place and the time you expect to spend there.
For arrivals at DXB, the driver meets you in the arrivals area with a name board. We follow the flight's status, and 30 minutes of free waiting time is included.
How should I handle a late-evening or after-midnight flight?
Enter the date the aircraft actually lands or departs, not the date you set off. A flight touching down at 12:40 am on Saturday is a Saturday date. Give times in UAE time, and tell us if the airline moves the schedule so the team can adjust the pickup.
We operate 24/7, so a very early or very late transfer is normal. Tell us your preferred pickup time and we plan around it.
Which vehicle suits our luggage?
A sedan takes up to 3 passengers with 2 large bags, and an SUV takes up to 5 passengers with 4 large bags. A van seats 6 to 14, and a mini bus or coach covers groups of 15 or more. The luxury executive car takes up to 3 passengers for business travel.
The final vehicle is confirmed with the quote. Mention sports bags, instruments or other bulky cases when you ask.

Questions
Frequently asked
Is Zayed International Airport the same as Abu Dhabi city?
No. Zayed International Airport (AUH) is the airport. Abu Dhabi city, Yas Island and Saadiyat Island are destinations in their own right. Tell us which one you need so the quote is correct.
Can I be collected at AUH and taken to a Dubai hotel?
Yes. Send the AUH flight number, landing time in UAE time and the Dubai hotel name. The driver meets you in arrivals with a name board, and we track the flight.
Do you manage the connection between my two flights?
We provide the car between the airports. Connections, baggage handling and check-in times are decided by your airline, so confirm them with the airline before you travel.
Can I stop at a hotel or meeting between DXB and AUH?
Yes. Give the stop, the time you expect to spend there and the time you need to be at the second airport. These details go into the quote, so mention them in your first message.
Can a family with several suitcases travel in one vehicle?
An SUV takes up to 5 passengers with 4 large bags, and a van seats 6 to 14. Send the passenger count and the number of bags, and the quote will name the suitable vehicle.
